My poor cat
We have to keep our cat in a cage a night so she doesn’t keep us up all night. So she just stares at me in her cage. At least the dog likes her crate!

I drive too much
Well I did it! I hit the 50,000 mile mark in the 2007 Honda Fit today. I can’t wait to move to Gilbert next month. These drives from Phoenix everyday are killing me. Oh well

Great quote
In the latest issue of Wired magazine, Shai Agassi, the CEO of "Better Place" says:
"’We’re here to serve you,’ not ‘We’re here to sell to you.’ We’re a facilitator, not the creator."
What a great business thought. I also think this statement is something leaders in "the church" could be better at. Myself included.
What do you think?

I’m speechless
Well, not really, but almost. Today I found this strange method for rolling up audio cables under the sound board in the high school and jr. High building. I asked Nick what I was looking at and he said it is a water hose bracket used to hold cables! WOW! Anyway, i’m gonna see about making a few changes, for the better anyway.
Btw today was one of the best days i’ve had in a long time! More to come later.

How many audio guys does it take…
…to mix sound? Well aparently two!
Doug and Matt and working together on audio to run the “house” mix and our new recording setup.
Before we recorded the whole service to cd as a general mix out. So now we have a dedicated “Aux out” for separate mixing direct to computer for instant results.
In the past the mix was recorded to cd, sent to Nick who had to import and edit the tracks and finally upload it to the church website. This process sometimes took 3 days to happen.
Now we can instantly monitor our recorded work and encode on the fly. Once we’re happy with the results all I have to do is upload the file and whabuz! (new word)
So by this time tomorrow (Sunday), the service should be live on www.mission68.org We’ll see!
